Special Events

  • Women of Faith Event - Tickets are sold out for 2010!
    Be sure to join us next year September 16-17, 2011, at the Spokane Arena. We have the same area (section 103) reserved and have locked in at the same price $89. You need to sign up on line and then you can make payments throughout the year at your convenience. We only have 50 tickets reserved (there are 60 of us this year, I was able to secure extra from the group leader behind us - no guarantee of that next year because she has not pre-reserved seats).

Fall Women's Bible Study Choices

  • Thursday Mornings from 9:30 - 11:30 a.m. with Childcare available
    Starts September 23rd with a "potluck" brunch. Choose 1 study (below), and register by SEPTEMBER 13 at Lake Spokane Community Church or by calling Pam at 465-9606.
    • The Patriarchs: Encountering the God of Abraham , Isaac and Jacob
      With Beth Moore teaching by DVD ~ Discover Gods pursuit of a relationship with mankind and marvel as His plan to bless all people unfolds. Get to know the individuals and families God used to birth His plan to redeem us. Genesis 12- 50 is full of twists and turns, ruin and redemption, revelation and mystery, it will keep you captivated by the GOD who stars in it! ~ cost $15
    • Rewriting Your Emotional Script: Erase Old Messages, Embrace New Attitudes
      By Becky Harling ~ This study helps us recognize and erase our destructive thought patterns replacing them with Gods powerful life changing truth. Based on Jesus’ Sermon on the Mount (Matt. 5) each Beatitude can be a stepping stone in letting go of control issues and overcoming fear, worry and past hurts. ~ cost $12

Fellowship

  • Encouraging Word - Super Saturday Craft and Card making class with potluck lunch.
  • Scapbooking (Starting in September through May) - Share, trade, learn and spur one another on; Third Monday of the month, 1:00 - 8:00 pm at Lake Spokane Community Church.
  • Women's Thursday Morning Potluck Brunch - Usually Sept., Jan. and June.
  • Greeters - Warmly welcome, meet and greet, give directions, etc. at various events.
  • Bible Study - Thursday mornings during the school year.

Service: Care and Hospitality

  • Meals Ministry - Make and deliver meals to those in need (new baby, hospital, family crises)
  • Sunday Morning Coffee Table Host - Set up, clean up, keep stocked for 1 month commitment.
  • Funeral Reception Team - Provide support and care by organizing or helping with the meal after each funeral.
  • Awana Meal Team - To bless by providing and serving dinner to all Awana workers and their families.
  • Annual Meeting Meals - Plan and prepare meal for biannual congregational meetings.
  • Service Teams - Set up, clean up for various events and Bible studies (coffee, tables, chairs, etc.)

  • National Day of Prayer - First Thursday in May.

Giving

  • Valentine Gift Baskets - Planned and presented to our Pastors and their wives.
  • Project Hope - Christmas stockings and gifts for children whose parents are in prison.
  • Food Collection - month of November for local Food Bank
  • Various Special Projects

Discipleship

  • Leadership Training - Small Group Leader Training, usually every September.
  • Women's Ministry Leadership Team - Encouraging spiritual growth and fellowship of women.
